Jacob (Raphael) Druckman ( 1928 -- 1996 )

Composer; born in Philadelphia. After studies at Juilliard and in Paris, he taught at Juilliard and Yale. He is best known for his colorful, rather tumultuous orchestral music in a modernist idiom.
