Ossip Zadkine ( 1890 -- 1967 )

Sculptor, born in Smolensk, Russia. He settled in Paris in 1909, and developed an individual Cubist style, making effective use of the play of light on concave surfaces, as in "The Three Musicians' (1926), "Orpheus' (1940), and the war memorial in Rotterdam, entitled "The Destroyed City' (1952).
