Harpsichordist and conductor, born in London, England, UK. He studied at the Royal College of Music and at Oxford, and was Master of the Music at Westminster Cathedral (1947--59), since when he has earned a wide reputation as a freelance harpsichord soloist and a conductor. He was made a papal Knight of the Order of St Gregory in 1970. |
