Composer, born in Venice, Italy. He studied in Vienna, Venice, and Bologna, visited Paris, and became professor of composition at the Parma Conservatory (1921), and director of institutes at Padua and Venice (1939--52). He wrote symphonic, operatic, vocal, and chamber music, and edited Monteverdi and Vivaldi. |
