Composer, born in Pisino, Italy. He studied at Florence, becoming a pianist and music teacher. After World War 2 he taught composition in the USA for several years. His compositions make wide use of 12-note technique, and include songs, a piano concerto, three operas, a ballet, and choral works such as Canti di prigionia (1938--41, Songs of Prison). |
