Louis Joseph Ferdinand Hérold ( 1791 -- 1833 )

Composer, born in Paris. He wrote many operas, and is best remembered for his comic operas, such as Zampa (1831) and Le Pré aux clercs (1832). He also wrote several ballets and piano music.
