Singer, actress. Born in New York City.
After a rough childhood in the notorious Hell's Kitchen section of
Manhattan, Faye parlayed her rich voice and charming demeanor into a
successful Hollywood acting career. With a total of more than thirty-five
film appearances to her credit, in addition to radio spots, Faye also
starred in a series of Twentieth Century Fox musicals opposite Betty Grable
and John Payne. From 1946-1954, she starred with her husband, bandleader
and singer Phil Harris in his radio show.
